Lunch and Puppy

"The History of every major Galactic Civilization tends to pass through three distinct and recognizable phases, those of Survival, Inquiry and Sophistication, otherwise known as the How, Why and Where phases."

"For instance, the first phase is characterized by the question How can we eat? the second by the question Why do we eat? and the third by the question Where shall we have lunch?"

So, we were trying to decide where to eat lunch.

John reminded us that time was an illusion, lunchtime doubly so.

JB and Phillip were too busy to get involved in this. :)

Actually, figuring out where to eat wasn't difficult at all, as we had an ulterior motive. Today was the day that David and Cherry were to meet with the Animal Rescue lady and take over the care and feeding of a small four-legged mammal, and had to meet her down on Dauphin Island Parkway to make the deal.

"Psst! Hey Mac - wanna buy a puppy?"

Michelle's is down on the DIP, and David and Sam have a chronic inability to say no to lunch at Michelle's.

Here we go, watch us now.

"Hey, I think today's special is Puppy Stroganof."

Ok, ok, sorry! Don't hit me any more. Actually, the special was beef stroganoff, and it was good, as always. Michelle's is a great home-cookin' place, will make even the skinniest and most high-metabolism person put on the pounds, and enjoy the process.

After lunch, we met up with the Animal Rescue lady at a gas station on DIP to pick up Fletcher, the Small Black Furry Person. We had absolutely no trouble figuring out which car was hers... it was the one with the "got dalmation?" sticker in the window.

"Ok, here's the instructions... let's see here.. don't get him wet, don't expose him to direct sunlight, don't feed him after midnight."

"Sounds simple enough... "

That's Cherry and Fletcher McLaughlin. Cherry's the bipedal one with the big I-Just-Got-A-Puppy! grin.

Ladies and gentlemen, the McLaughlin Family - David, Cherry and Fletcher.

Check back later for more random snapshots of a day in the life of various Dogwood people. You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll hire us to do your website! :)

Peace - Trey
